Following last week’s announcement about the first FESPA Nordic Congress, taking place from 7th – 8th April 2011 in Gothenburg, Sweden, FESPA has revealed Volvo Trucks as the latest addition to its already impressive line up of participating companies.
Focussed on educating and connecting delegates from the region during the two-day event, Christer Lindqvist, Brand Manager, and Lars Mårtensson, Director of Environmental Affairs, both at Volvo Truck Corporation will offer delegates a 40 minute presentation from their unique brand/ buyer’s and environmental perspective.
Demonstrating more than 15 years experience in marketing and communication, eight of which have been spent within Brand Management at Volvo Trucks, Christer oversees the implementation of messaging strategies across the company. Providing an alternative viewpoint, Lars has spent 15 years working on environmental issues for multiple branches of Volvo, including Volvo Penta and Volvo Group HQ.
Their presentation will deliver a valuable insight into topics such as ‘innovation – providing a total print service’ and ‘supply chain – requirements to be considered, including environmental policy’. Continuing with the environmental theme, they will also examine what is expected from printers with regard to environmental objectives.
Nigel Steffens, Managing Director, FESPA, comments: “We’re delighted that Lars and Christer from Volvo Trucks are keen to be involved in the first FESPA Nordic Congress, which is a great indication of the importance they place on the event. They have a huge wealth of knowledge and experience between them and can provide a real picture of the relationship between printers and buyers. Representing Volvo Trucks, one of the biggest, most successful companies in Europe, I have no doubt that their presentation will be of real benefit to our delegates.”
Both Volvo Trucks representatives join an impressive list of speakers, including Andreas Skantze of Big Image in Sweden, Neil Falconer, Senior Consultant at PIRA, Steve Lister, the Business Development Director at the Robert Horne Group and Nick Devine, founder of The Print Coach.
