On the 6th September 2011, a “Think Tank” will be held at the Ritz Hotel in London. The event is hosted by Prism, the UK trade association and member of FESPA.  The organisation represents the wide format print sector encompassing in-store POS, outdoor graphics, signage, textile and industrial printing.

In today’s challenging economy, the Association recognises the importance of promoting efficient working practices throughout the supply chain, incorporating material suppliers, print service providers, print management companies and their respective customers. Ultimately Prism wishes to aid in the development of a profitable and sustainable industry to benefit all key stakeholders.

At the previous “Think Tank” in May it was agreed to develop a definitive “Code of Best Practice” by recommending how all parties could work together.  An outline of the code has been agreed by the Directors of Prism and will be put to senior executives from leading print management companies and chief executives of print service providers who make up a substantial majority of the suppliers to this market.

After the conclusion of the afternoon session there will be a champagne reception followed by private dining, giving all delegates the chance to network with their industry peers and continue the discussions, under Chatham House rules i.e. nothing is attributable.

The Prism board sees these very successful “Think Tanks” as an effective vehicle for developing positive innovative thinking and discussions to the benefit of the market as a whole.
