One of Pixartprinting's goals for 2017 is to further expand its range and its level of technological innovation. Following the launch of the Catalyst production line, which can produce over 300 different combinations of customised packaging, and the expansion of the small format department, which now boasts the largest collection of Komori HUV and LED/HUV systems in Europe, Pixartprinting is now, quite literally, putting the spotlight on textile printing, with new tension fabric frames for your printed designs, including some with LED lights.

And while the new displays use digitally printed polyester, prized fabrics like silk and cashmere are leading a genuine revolution at the company. Pixartprinting has expanded its range of natural fabrics printed with reactive dyes, which can be ordered in lengths of as little as 1 m, with six new finishes. There is something for every season: from silk, ideal for producing fresh and refined spring garments, to viscose, which, when combined with wool, makes autumn clothes soft and warm. Not to mention stretch cotton, which ensures excellent thermal insulation, and jersey, which thanks to its elastic properties is the ideal choice for swimming costumes and sportswear.

In 2013, Pixartprinting declared in a statement: “This is just the beginning; the use of textiles is still yet to be explored in many fields. And we are highly motivated to experiment, and to provide unusual, highly creative solutions to an ever wider group of users”. Back then the market was already showing signs that textiles were gradually replacing materials like the classic PVC, given they are light, foldable, easy to transport, reusable and environmentally-friendly. And the proof of this growing trend can be seen in the explosion of sectors where textile printing is now applied; it has moved beyond fashion into the worlds of retail and home decor.

“Our new range of textile printing options underlines our commitment to constantly expanding our range, following careful analysis from our in-house R&D department, which is always working to catch emerging needs and unmet demand”, commented Paolo Roatta, Managing Director at Pixartprinting. “This strategy pushes the boundaries of the various markets, offering not only fresh options for customers, but also new business opportunities for professionals and resellers, such as marketing agencies, graphic designers, printing providers, architects, designers and shopfitters”.

New communication options for businesses: solutions for brands worth framing

Pixartprinting’s new tension fabric frames offer elegance and convenience for indoor and outdoor communications. The range is made up of three families – freestanding, wall-mounted and backlit – with a total of 14 models to choose from, ideal for exhibitions, offices and shop windows. Available single- or double-sided, they feature lightweight aluminium frames with grooves and transparent PVC edging to make attaching the textiles printed with Durst Rhotex technology easier. This cutting-edge system offers fine-art quality, bright colours, vibrant hues and clear images, all using environmentally-friendly water-based inks, ensuring the prints are recyclable, odourless and fire-resistant.

Beautiful to look at and wonderful to touch.

Pixartprinting’s mission is to promote mass customisation, and the brand’s new exquisite fabrics expand the range of possible applications, including the option to make single items or small samples. They can be used for fashion and sportswear and accessories such as scarves, as well as soft furnishings. The Monti 72 calender is used to add a special finish to each of the textiles, ensuring excellent performance during assembly and a long life.

OUR NEW EXQUISITE FABRICS

12 mm Habutai, 45 gsm: 90% Silk / 10% Lycra. A crêpe fabric with highly twisted yarn on both the warp and weft, producing an irregular surface with an incredibly shiny and slightly wrinkled appearance. Its stretchability makes it ideal for creating a range of garments.

Chiffon, 50 gsm: 80% Modal / 20% Silk. A light and very transparent chiffon fabric, produced by lightly twisting the yarn before weaving, creating a soft surface with a slightly crinkled appearance. Ideal for making clothing and accessories for the spring and autumn.

Plain Weave, 50 gsm: 90% Modal / 10% Cashmere. This combination of fibres is woven with a low-density plain-weave pattern. The result is a fabric with a soft finish and a very spacious weave, making the voile transparent. Ideal for scarves and shawls.

Plain Weave, 65 gsm: 85% Viscose / 15% Wool. The yarns are woven in a very regular plain-weave pattern, producing a fabric that is soft and velvety to the touch. It is particularly suited to making scarves and winter clothes.

Brushed Cotton, 275 gsm: 95% Cotton / 5% Lycra. A high-quality stretch cotton. The fabric is brushed to give it a wool-like appearance and a soft and velvety feel, and to increase its thermal insulation properties. Recommended for autumn and winter clothes.

Jersey, 200 gsm: 86% Nylon / 14% Lycra. A plain knit fabric, which is very stretchy both lengthways and widthways. It is most commonly used for creating swimming costumes, leggings and sportswear.
