Nicole Spencer, Operations Director at Hull-based printing specialists RMC Digital Print, has been appointed the new UK president at the FESPA UK Association.

FESPA UK Association is part of a global membership association, which operates 37 national branches around the word, including FESPA UK. As a global federation, FESPA Limited represents the interests of a billion-pound industry, comprising screen and digital wide format print service providers, as well as industrial and specialist printers.
Nicole Spencer, FESPA UK Association President and Operations Director at RMC Digital Print said:
“It’s a real honour to be appointed president of an association that represents the interests of the UK’s printing industry. As a member of FESPA UK Association for many years, I have found the support and guidance offered by the association absolutely invaluable throughout my career, so to have the opportunity to lead the organisation and play my part in its continued success means a great deal.
“I look forward to building on the fantastic work that is already being delivered by FESPA UK Association as we collaborate with our partners throughout the UK to drive innovation and excellence within our industry. One of my key areas of focus as president will be diversifying and expanding the range of insight and support, we offer to our members, as well as embracing technology and innovation to ensure that we are working together towards a more sustainable future. Both Tony at Dufaylite and Nick at Swanline have pioneered products that are made from recyclable materials, so with their support, I feel we can help our members to replace some of their current products with more sustainable resources”
Nicole Spencer is interested in supporting the members as much as possible with business focused information that will help all companies thrive, with a focus on raising awareness around sustainable printing methods and encouraging printers all over the UK to consider initiatives to support them in minimising wastage.
Tony Moscrop, Managing Director at Dufaylite Developments Ltd, outgoing President at FESPA UK Association said:
“Sustainability is undoubtedly high on the agenda. Swanline Print and RMC are industry leading companies on this important issue so I am sure their planned combined efforts and initiatives will provide significant benefits for association members, their customers and the environment. During Nicole’s term as Vice President, she supported me during a period of significant change and growth for the association and the sector at large.
“I am delighted about Nicole’s appointment as President of FESPA UK Association and it was a great pleasure to hand over the chain of office at the recent board meeting.”
In many print companies, sustainability is driven by, and focuses on, demand from customers for sustainable print solutions, but printing equipment, work flow and general facilities should be as equally effective at minimising waste.
FESPA UK Association members have access to a well-established network of industry leading contacts, technical information and tailored events which include sustainability as a key theme.
