Antalis has achieved the Gold Award for the fifth year running in recognition for its approach to occupational safety and health in an awards scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The RoSPA Awards is celebrating 60 years of presenting highly-regarded and sought after accolades to businesses and organisations which have shown commitment to accident and ill-health prevention.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “To win an award at such a highly-regarded event as the RoSPA Awards is a great achievement for our winners. It recognises their commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record and raises the bar for other organisations to aspire to. We offer them our congratulations.

This year was doubly special for our winners as their achievements were recognised as the RoSPA Awards celebrated its diamond anniversary, which is a ringing endorsement of the thousands of businesses and organisations that have committed to continuous improvement in accident and ill-health prevention.”

Mike Hann, Antalis UK Group Health and Safety Manager, said: “Antalis is delighted to have been awarded ‘Gold’ for the fifth consecutive year and a gold medal in recognition of this. The RoSPA Awards are a fantastic acknowledgement of the efforts of all of our people in helping to improve health and safety in the workplace. We will, of course, be continuing in our commitment towards accident and ill health prevention.”

The majority of awards that RoSPA presents are non-competitive, marking achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations maintaining high standards can win gold medals, president’s awards and orders of distinction.

Competitive awards recognise excellence in more than 20 industry sectors, and they also recognise excellence in specialist areas, such as the management of occupational road risk.

The Gold award in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2016 will be presented to Antalis in a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, on 14th July 2016.
