The Nottingham-based distributor achieved the highest business performance amongst new partners working with the 3D printer manufacturer since January 2015.
Ted Freer, ArtSystems’ Divisional Manager − Design, and Will Glass, 3D Sales Specialist, were presented with the award by Andreas Langfeld, General Manager MakerBot EMEA. Afterwards Ted said: “We have been partnered with MakerBot since July 2015 and we’re pleased our efforts have been recognised in this way. It’s great to see that we have made such an impact in the 3D market so quickly. This award is a real testament to everyone’s efforts.
“The 3D printing sector is at an exciting stage at present with many new innovations coming to the fore, and MakerBot is one of the leading manufacturers in its field. Its highly affordable, popular and simple to operate range of desktop 3D printers has made great strides in many important spheres, particularly in prototyping and design. Access to shared ideas, tips and advice from its amazing thingiverse has enabled users to reach ever more extraordinary levels of invention. We are proud to have become such an important part of MakerBot’s success.”
The specialist graphics materials and hardware distributor has also been shortlisted for the CRN Channel Awards in the Specialist Distributor category. The finals will take place at the Battersea Events Arena on 17 November. The 2016 CRN Channel Awards has 25 categories, five of them brand new, and the emphasis is very much on recognising excellence and innovation in the UK reseller and distribution arena.
