Jump4London now certified by Guinness World Records as world’s longest composite photo

After a short period of checks and confirmations, Agfa is delighted to announce that artist Clare Newton’s Jump4London project has achieved official certification from Guinness World Records that she has produced the world’s longest composite photograph.

The certificate reads, “The largest composite photograph exhibition consisted of 81,663 photographs and was achieved by Clare Newton (UK) in a project named Jump4London as part of London & Partners’ World Record London. It was unveiled in the Excel Centre in London, on 1 June 2012.”

The Creative Place printed the 1 kilometre long photograph in 10 metre sections using an Agfa :Anapurna M2050 printer, onto Amari Digital Supplies vinyl banner material. Tim Light, Marketing Manager for Agfa Graphics, comments, “We are really delighted for Clare, particularly after all the hard work she put in. We are also pleased for the other companies that have played their part in bringing this project to life. In particular, The Creative Place, who gave up many hours of valuable time in order to produce the photograph.
