CWE Solutions has today completed an agreement to join the Papergraphics group, forming one of the UK’s largest providers of wide format digital print solutions.
Chessington-based CWE Solutions, which was founded in 1999, has delivered a sustained period of growth, becoming one of the UK’s leading suppliers of wide format hardware. The company, which is one of HP’s largest resellers in Europe, will join the Papergraphics group immediately, but will continue to trade as CWE Solutions in the immediate future.
Having specialised in media for over 30 years, wide format print specialist Papergraphics entered the hardware market in 2015 after bringing in PaperlinX’s former Digital Solutions team. Today’s announcement will see the company capitalise on its recent growth by increasing the range of hardware it provides, while offering customers a wealth of technical experience and software expertise.
Together the companies will be able to provide businesses operating in the graphics industry with a comprehensive range of hardware, software and media. Papergraphics will now supply equipment from HP, Canon, Epson, and CWT, to name a few, as well as high quality media types, including fine art photo papers, indoor and outdoor solvent and water-based print media, digital wallcoverings, finishing laminates, films and proofing media.
John Selby, Papergraphics’ CEO, commented: “We’re delighted to announce this new partnership. The success we achieved entering the hardware market gave us the confidence to expand our operations. CWE Solutions is an established and respected business in the UK and boasts a market leading range of solutions and expertise. Bringing in its product portfolio, knowledge and client base will complement our recent expansion and help us secure the long term future of Papergraphics.”
Doug Gilbertson, Managing Director of CWE Solutions, added: “Over the past few years we have become a recognised name within our industry. However, I feel that we have reached a point that requires a bold and significant next step. Joining together with Papergraphics, an equally established name in the industry, will help us do just that.
“I’m excited to be joining John and Nathan, and building a businesses that will provide the graphics industry with the best and most comprehensive printing solutions available.”
Following the announcement, Doug Gilbertson will join the Papergraphics board of directors, alongside John Selby and Nathan Atkins, the company’s CEO and managing director respectively. As a result, Papergraphics increases its staff count to more than 100, with the two businesses combined turning over in excess of £30m.
