Colourgen will showcase the Mutoh ValueJet 426UF A3-size direct-to-object LED UV printer and the ValueJet 1638UH, a dual head/dual lamp 64” wide high quality LED UV printer for flexible and rigid substrate printing. Visitors will be able to see a range of applications created using these printers and the endless possibilities they offer next to pad printing and screen printing technologies
ValueJet 426UF
The Mutoh ValueJet VJ-426UF is a compact A3+ flatbed 6-colour LED UV printer with integrated vacuum table. Offering a print table area of 483 mm (19”) x 329 mm (13”), the VJ-426UF enables direct printing onto objects up to 70 mm (2.75”) thick. The multi-purpose VJ-426UF printer will produce ultra sharp, high quality output and is specifically targeted at short run items or one-off designs of products and their prototypes, personalised gifts, packaging, labelling and specialty industrial items such as decals and signs
ValueJet 1638UH Hybrid LED UV Printer
Also at the show will be the Mutoh ValueJet 1638UH (64”). This is Mutoh’s first ever dual head LED UV printer delivering increased print, cure performance and versatility! Accommodating roll media and rigid boards up to 15mm thick with a CMYK ink set-up, the VJ-1638UH can also print white and varnish to handle transparent or coloured substrates without losing saturation or to create special print effects and multi-layer printing for added value.
The ValueJet 1638UH recently won the award for ‘Best 2017 Flatbed/Hybrid Printer up to 20sqm/h’ attributed by the European Digital Press Association (EDP).
Applications include high quality graphics such as packaging designs, customised interior décor and trade-show graphics. This is the printer for creatives too – the multi-layer printing means that parts of the image can be raised – perfect for branding and other creative applications.
Jeff Biggs, Managing Director of Colourgen, comments, “Colourgen will be focusing very heavily on the excellent range of Mutoh LED UV printers, particularly those models that are brand new to the UK market. Also we are actively encouraging signmakers to see the capabilities of those printers that are ostensibly outside of their core business, that could open doors to new, creative applications, incremental revenues and increased profitability.”
