d.gen raises the bar and boosts its new powerful textile printers with a fully-integrated workflow that combines the most advanced inkjet technologies and the highest expertise in textile pre-treatment and finishing. Following the interest shown by customers and resellers at FESPA for the Ricoh Gen5-based printers and the new CaP coating and fixation unit, at ITMA 2015 d.gen formalises the cooperation with one of the most renowned manufacturers in the textile industry to allow small and medium fabric printers to get professional and flawless results.

At ITMA 2015, d.gen will introduce its bestselling 3.3m-wide Teleios Grande G5 printer in a new configuration with pigment inks and 8 colours: CMYK, Lc, Lm, Orange and Blue, which add extended colour gamut to the well-established platform using Ricoh Gen5 industrial printheads and printing speeds up to 185 sqm/hr. At the same time d.gen will show the potential of its new range of Artrix G5 sticky-belt printers, redesigned and built for industrial textile applications. While Teleios Grande G5 is exhibited on the booth, Artrix G5 and CaP will be shown in full operation before, during and after the show at easyTEX LAB, the Easy Textile Factory built by Cibitex in their production plant, located just few minutes from Milan’s exhibition centre.

“The pigment ink chemistry is basic for home textile applications and direct printing on cotton, linen, panama and special material for curtains, like Zebra. At ITMA we’re introducing Teleios Grande G5 with integrated drying, combined with a classic heat-calender or the new d.gen CaP – explains, Mr. Junghyun Lee, R&D Manager at d.gen – applying heat at a controlled temperature for a given time is the only way to get color fastness without yellowing. Something that toy-size fixation units cannot ensure”.

CaP is power and intellect for multifunctional pre-treatment and fixation

100% designed and manufactured in Italy with top-class components, characterised by compact size but a powerful body, industrial performance and unique technical features, CaP is the unit that was missing in digital textile. Available in different configurations and widths between 2m and 3.5m, CaP allows a easy and efficient coating process, carried out by a soaking unit and a squeezing module, followed by professional pre-drying and final fixation with two heavy-duty heated cylinders. Thanks to the modular design, the capability to work at high temperatures and the extended fabric path, CaP is also the ideal fixation unit for almost every fabric printed using pigments.

Arachne Hexa and Papyrus G5: the 6-colour revolution for direct-to-textile and paper

d.gen dusts off one of its biggest hits and gives new life to Arachne, the direct-to-textile printer with over 600 units installed worldwide. Arachne Hexa is the entry-level solution for those who want to print fabrics like cotton, linen and other fibres using pigment inks with professional results but in small volumes. Arachne Hexa is equipped with Ricoh Gen5 printheads and a 6-colour configuration. Last but not least, after the success achieved from Europe to South America, the new Papyrus G5 will demonstrate its potential for paper printing.

Easy Textile Factory: Pigments, Acids, Reactives and dispersed made easy

“No matter what’s your ink-chemistry and your fabric, now d.gen has a professional answer for small batches printed using not only pigments, but also reactive, acids and dispersed inks – says Andrea Negretti, WW Business Manager at d.gen – thanks to the mutual cooperation with Cibitex we’ve now access to one of the most innovative and efficient ranges of pre and post-treatment equipment. We’re not talking about oversized machines or just toys, but products designed according to our customers’ needs”.

Alongside the new CaP coating and fixation unit, d.gen and its customers and partners worldwide will take advantage of the cooperation with Cibitex and the easyLINE of compact steamers, washers and winding units. With more than 500 top-class industrial plants installed at the largest worldwide textile companies, as well as a decade of experience with compact digital steamers, Cibitex has proven its capability to design and manufacture first-class textile finishing machinery, highly efficient and designed with the environment in mind.

“This is the main reason of our strategic decision to cooperate with a well-established Italian manufacturer instead of build products internally – ends Andrea Negretti – the additional value of a Italy-based partner is priceless. Italy is a country of excellence in manufacturing, with a textile experience like no other. From now onwards we can affirm that our present and future offer is not just good and profitable, but simply uncompromising.”
