From using SEO to boost your brand’s visibility to diversification and implementing AI, The Print Show’s Knowledge Zone promises to provide visitors with tangible skills and knowledge to take away.
Taking place from September 17th to 19th September in Hall 17 of the NEC, Birmingham, The Print Show will see major names such as Agfa, swissQprint, Fujifilm, CMYUK, Morgana, Mutoh, and more exhibit.
A popular in-show feature of The Print Show is the Knowledge Zone which hosts talks and panels designed to provide visitors with extra business skills, expertise, and knowledge.
Celebrating the Possibilities of Print
This year, leading industry figures and well-known brands and organisations such as major retail brand LUSH and the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) will take to the stage.
Individuals from LUSH, Dayfold Printing Services, and Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) will take part in a panel discussion on September 19th to discuss the recent Creative Print Collab and how initiatives like this can help craft print’s future.
The project saw first-year students on AUB’s BA (Hons) Graphic Design Course follow a brief to produce an aesthetically beautiful, creatively printed and packaged product with prizes including an internship at LUSH and work experience at Dayfold.
Another session will highlight how print can be used to provide accessible and immersive experiences. Mathew Faulkner, director of marketing and innovation at Canon Europe will be joined by Dave Williams, Inclusive Design Ambassador at the RNIB to discuss how Canon’s technologies helped to deliver the first completely accessible, immersive photography exhibition, World Unseen.
Another inspiring session will be hosted by international mountaineer and former HP employee, Nick Hollis. Hollis will share his insight on drawing inspiration from extreme endurance challenges, having climbed the highest mountain on each of the seven continents and rowed the Atlantic solo.
Tangible Skills and Expertise to Take Away
Visitors to the Knowledge Zone will be able to gain valuable advice and access tangible skills to boost business such as how to attract more clients using LinkedIn and SEO advice.
Paul Sutton, an independent digital marketing consultant with 15 years of experience will reveal the secrets of ‘social selling’ – building your professional brand through consistent and valuable content.
Other topics will include how AI is transforming the print industry; a look at what the industry’s emerging talent needs to succeed in the print industry; and how to bolster your online performance with effective SEO.
Success Stories from Key Industry Figures
Key industry figures will also be sharing their journeys within print and the steps that they have taken which have led to large-scale business growth and success.
Managing director of Solopress, Simon Cooper will share his expertise in multi-channel mastery and how to tailor e-commerce for every customer.
Having held leadership positions at top firms including Cimpress companies Tradeprint and Exaprint, Simon Cooper is now responsible for spearheading the Onlineprinters Group’s Europe-wide online business for both the Solopress and Onlineprinters brands.
A live podcast recording of Printerviews, hosted by Colin Sinclair McDermott aka The Online Print Coach will also dive deeper into Cooper’s career.
Andrew Wilson, managing director of PressOn Automative will discuss the company’s diversification success. Wilson will share the inspiring journey of his beginnings in the print industry and the company’s bold venture into the world of vehicle customisation.
The Knowledge Zone will be located on Stand A67 next to the Networking Area (A65).
