The UK’s most comprehensive line-up of Epson large format printers will be on show at DPS Select 2011, a new event hosted by specialist large format reseller, Digital Photo Solutions (DPS). Held in conjunction with Computers Unlimited (CU), other vendors supporting the event include Adobe, Wacom & Datacolor.

The drop-in open day will take place on Wednesday 9th November 2011 in CU’s North London demonstration suite and will run between 10am and 4pm.  Photographers, designers, studios, retail photo shops, copy shops & other creative professionals are invited to attend this free of charge event.

According to the company, the event will offer visitors ‘the chance to view the most comprehensive line up of Epson large format printers (A3+ to 64″ wide) anywhere in the UK, ranging from the new, award-winning Stylus Photo R3000 right up to the 64″ wide Epson Stylus Pro 11880. With a chance to demo & contrast the entire Epson large format printer range from the fast 5 colour CAD and poster machines to the photographic 8 colour devices as well as the high end 11 colour proofing systems, there’ll be something of interest for every photo & print professional. Visitors will also be able to see, test and try out Epson’s new Signature Worthy range of media, which form part of the core range of media in the Epson Digigraphie programme.’

Adobe will be on hand to demonstrate the benefits of its latest version of Creative Suite and will articulate the compelling reasons why upgrading to CS5.5 is a must for anyone using an older or previous version of Adobe’s flagship software. Complementing Adobe’s software perfectly, Wacom will be demonstrating its latest high-end technology  – the Cintiq 24HD Interactive Pen Display – which is set to become the must-have productivity tool for creative professionals. Also on show will be Datacolor’s inexpensive range of colour management tools for monitors and printers as well as a range of new ready-made canvas frames and a green screen photography solution that may be an ideal bolt-on for print shops.

Maneesh Patel, managing director of DPS, is delighted to be hosting this event. ” We are thrilled to be partnering up with CU and our key vendors for what will be our first open day event. The informal nature of DPS Select 2011 means visitors can spend more time discussing their needs and any issues with our vendors one to one. The main aim of the day is to introduce clients to commercially interesting new products and ideas to help make their photo and print businesses more profitable. With this mind, we will be launching the DPS Select Club where customer benefits will include extra discounts on ongoing consumable purchases as well as access to media samples, advanced product information & dedicated account management.”
