Last month’s Fespa Digital 2011 exhibition, in Hamburg, Germany, was a success for wide-format inkjet printer and cutting plotter manufacturer Mutoh Belgium.  Mutoh showcased its entire range of sign cutting plotters and wide format printers for sign, dye sub and textile applications.  Visitors could discover numerous examples of applications made with Mutoh hardware and attend live car wrapping sessions with Mutoh’s new Zephyr 3D UV 200 % stretchable inks, organised in cooperation with 3M and Hexis.   Live wrapping sessions with Mutoh’s new Zephyr 3D UV inks were also made at the booths of Grafityp, MACtac and Hexis.

Mutoh witnessed an increased demand and interest for its range of dye sub, soft sign and direct-to-textile wide format printers.  50% of all leads were specifically interested into textile printing equipment.   The major Mutoh textile showstopper was the all new Viper TX Professional fabric production printer with built-in moving adhesive belt system for direct printing onto stretchable, knitted, woven and open structure fabrics, such as PES flag, cotton, nylon, lycra, silk and poplin.

During the Fespa Digital 2011 show, Mutoh Belgium also received two EDP awards from the European Digital Press Association.

The award “Best Alternative Ink Technology of the year 2011” was given to Mutoh’s Zephyr 3D UV ink.   Mutoh’s Viper TX Soft Sign printer series received an award in the category “Best Wide Format Textile Printer of the year 2011”.  More details can be found at www.edpassociation.com.
