Sign & Digital UK, the annual leading event for the sign making, display solutions and digital printing industry, welcomed over 5,300 unique visitors* to its show last week.

The three-day exhibition took place at the NEC Birmingham from 24 to 26 April 2018 and offered visitors a host of new interactive show features, as well as access to over 185 leading suppliers and thousands of products and brands.

Sign & Digital UK’s 2018 theme – Creativity Brought to Life – was delivered through a range of features. Highlights included lively and inspiring keynote talks and panel debates in The Main Stage theatre. Celebrity retail expert, Mary Portas, delivered a well-received talk with audience Q&A during the show’s opening day.

The Main Stage theatre doubled-up as a TV studio, capturing the sessions and filming the many demos, workshops and vibrant exhibition stands across the show floor.

Away from The Main Stage theatre, the show floor hosted three dedicated demonstration zones – Décor Live in partnership with Antalis, Vehicle Wrapping Live in partnership with Spandex and Textile Printing Live in partnership with Hybrid Services/Mimaki. These areas showed visitors potential new revenue streams for their businesses, as well as encouraging them to have a go and benefit from one-on-one expert direction.

The exhibition attracted a comprehensive range of business visitors from across the whole of the visual communications industry. The number of visitors from the commercial print, event build, creative agency and retail sectors, saw increases, with representatives from high street names such as Debenhams, EDF Energy, Fossil UK, Harrods, H & M, Ikea UK & Ireland, JD Sports, Metro Bank, Screwfix and Superdry attending the show.

Rudi Blackett, event director for Sign & Digital UK said: “It’s been another exciting year at Sign & Digital UK. Once again, I would like to say a big thank you to all of the exhibitors, visitors and show partners who supported the 2018 show. It is always a pleasure to see end-users and suppliers come together to do business in a creative and dynamic environment. We are also grateful to our fantastic line-up of speakers, including the inspirational Mary Portas, for delivering an engaging range of debates and keynote talks at this year’s show. The innovative new features at the show brought a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm to all three days and we are already looking forward to hosting an even better industry event in 2019.”

With a move to new halls (3 & 3A) for 2019, there has been a high demand for stand space, with some big-name exhibitors committing to a larger presence following a standout 2018 show.

Sign & Digital UK returns to the NEC, Birmingham from 2 to 4 April 2019 and is free to attend for visitors.
