The organisers of the UK Graphic Awards have announced the details for their 2022 event. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 5th October in Manchester.
Dan Tyler, founder of the awards and CEO at installation workflow management provider Vism, said: “After a long wait, our inaugural event last September was a great success, with brilliant feedback coming in from sponsors, winners and attendees. This year we'll go even bigger and better. We can't wait to bring the industry together again.”
The UK Graphic Awards is the annual event that brings the UK's wide-format print industry together to celebrate and recognise the talent and creativity that goes into producing the UK’s most exceptional projects and the impact these have on the broader commercial and social community. The ceremony consists of a drinks reception, gala dinner, live music and awards presentations.
The inaugural event which took place in September 2021 was hailed as a “raging success” by sponsors and attendees, being the industry’s first opportunity to get together in almost two years. Outstanding projects, initiatives and development were recognised and celebrated in 12 categories, ranging from branded interiors and graphic roll-out to innovation and sustainability awards.
John Bayly, Director at Wild Visual Communications, who won Retail Project of the Year, said: “The most memorable part obviously has to be winning. I would be lying if I didn’t say that. But in general, mixing with everyone, seeing some old faces, there were people I worked with who were just great to chat to and see the world coming back to life. I think the timing of it was quite nice.”
Graphic materials supplier Soyang joins the list of sponsors for 2022, with Managing Director, Mark Mashiter commenting “We felt that the event was well focused on our sector of the printing industry and a great networking event with industry leaders who are like minded in their approach to the market in terms of sustainability and quality.”
“A number of people came to us after last year's event, with some brilliant suggestions for additional areas where we could be recognising the industry's achievements, and so we're excited to be adding a handful of new categories for 2022”, added Dan.
The awards are free to enter and open to all members of the UK’s wide-format print industry for work that was produced between 1st July 2021 and 30th June 2022.
