SourceOne is a division of Nazdar and was founded in 1922. Nazdar SourceOne was formally created in 2002 when Nazdar created three divisions – Nazdar Ink Technologies and Nazdar Consulting Services being the other two – and since that time has grown to employ more than 200 people in 17 locations across the Americas.

SourceOne offers complete print solutions to the graphic, industrial and textile market sectors. Core product groups include hardware, inks and other consumables for both screen and digital printing technologies and the company sells to more than 10,000 printers in the Americas.

What makes the company stand out from its competitors in the industry is its impressive customer service philosophy. All of SourceOne’s customers have the opportunity to leave feedback about their experience of dealing with the company via the internet. If for any reason they are not satisfied, leaders in the company are notified and the customer receives a quick response.

At times this will include a follow up phone call from the company’s President – Peter Walsh – or a member of the SourceOne executive team. In fact, Peter Walsh touches base with the company’s customers via multiple channels of communication on a frequent basis and this open process helps ensure that SourceOne takes care of its customers and corrects any issues that might have occurred moving forward.

To add to the customer experience, SourceOne recently revamped its online web presence. The new site was built with customers in mind and features a large number of improvements. Michael Johnson, Nazdar SourceOne’s Vice President of Marketing, explains: “The project was a total overhaul; in addition to completely upgrading the user interface, we tripled the amount of data we capture for products, allowing for the latest tools in product searching and selection to be available.”

As well as focusing its efforts into boosting its online presence, SourceOne has been at the heart of the Nazdar ‘Free Ink Campaign’ and has seen great ink conversion success with businesses throughout the USA, Mexico and Central America. The offer applies to OEM customers using Roland and Mimaki wide format printer cartridge inks and – as the campaign name suggests – enables them to try Nazdar’s inks for free.

Michael Johnson elaborates: “We found the campaign to be very successful in allowing a large number of our customers to utilise Nazdar’s high quality wide format inks without any cost to their business. Many subsequently converted to Nazdar inks and have since been benefitting from excellent, fully colour-matched inks whilst at the same time reducing their operating costs.”

On top of the success SourceOne has had rolling out Nazdar’s free ink campaign, the company has recently seen a surge of interest in Nazdar’s 133 Series inks, developed specifically for Mimaki JV33 and CJV range. As a key part of Nazdar’s ‘plug and play’ line of market-leading inkjet inks, Nazdar 133 Series inks were the first alternative inks to be fully colour-matched to the Mimaki SS21 inks and offer exceptional compatibility, quality and cost effectiveness.

“The Nazdar 133 Series inks offer incredible performance at a very competitive price. They enable our customers to maintain consistent, reliable printed output whilst increasing their profit margins,” continues Johnson.

Another recent product introduction has been the Nazdar 720 Series of UV inkjet inks, developed for POP displays, durable graphics and banners where colour fidelity and adhesion are of primary importance. They are formulated for use in both flexible and rigid applications and offer excellent resistance to edge chipping on rigid substrates when used with a knife or router cutter.

Michael Johnson continues: “Both these two new series of Nazdar inks have been very successful in recent customer conversions. In terms of the wide format inkjet sector, the quality of Nazdar’s products, the ability to easily convert from OEM inks and the exceptionally robust warranty are big benefits to our end-user customers.”

In terms of the relationship with Nazdar, Michael Johnson summarises: “Our partnership with Nazdar works extremely well. Nazdar Ink Technologies provides us with quality products and application expertise to provide meaningful ink solutions to our customers.”
