Kings Langley based Projects & Print invests in the first Agfa Anapurna M2500i high-speed hybrid UV-curable inkjet system, which has a printing width of 2.5m and is ideal for indoor and outdoor applications. The contract also includes an extended warranty package and full service agreement.
This versatile print, display and signage company has been established over four years and each year it has doubled its turnover, which now stands at more than £1 million. The driving force behind the company is MD Richard Barrett who has in excess of twenty years’ expertise in the display industry. Richard is supported by a loyal team of staff managed by Chris Parker who has an in-depth knowledge of substrates gained from his ten years at Robert Horne.
“We needed to increase the level of our UV direct to substrate output so we went to FESPA looking for a dual RTR and flatbed high quality printer. We had three manufacturers in mind but it quickly came down to Agfa. Their whole approach was more professional,” explained Richard Barrett, managing director of Projects & Print.
The company is a trade supplier to agencies and designers and provides a 24/7 nationwide service installing an extensive range of exhibition, display and signage to companies such as Network Rail, Samsung, Costa Coffee and the De Vere Hotel Group.
“Agfa informed us that a new Anapurna M2500i hybrid printer was soon to be available and arranged for us to loan an Anapurna M2500 in the interim. The new Anapurna M2500i, however, is much faster and the highly accurate dot positioning provides excellent image quality, which is further enhanced by the 3-pass mode with gradient functionality so there is no banding,” enthused Chris Parker, operations manager at Projects & Print.
Projects & Print continues to expand. They are looking for larger premises as well as advertising for more staff and the new Anapurna M2500i is a major investment in the company’s development.
“Agfa were flexible regarding the finance package I required. I had experience at a previous company where the extended service agreement and warranty were not taken up and a replacement print head was required when the warranty had recently expired which cost them dearly. I, therefore, asked for the service and warranty to be built in for the duration of the contract agreement. Agfa’s support has been second to none and a great help to a company that is expanding such as mine,” concluded Richard Barrett.
