Today, Ricoh UK has announced that its latest inkjet technology will be showcased at Sign & Digital UK 2019, 2-4 April, NEC Birmingham.
Ricoh will be exhibiting their latest large format inkjet solutions including a new latex printer, a new smaller UV flatbed and a new mid-range direct to garment printer.
A FESPA Print Census by InfoTrends illustrated that whilst banners, billboards, signs and posters still lead the product mix, 80% of printers reported that they are now working with more textiles, garments, décor and packaging. The research also identified four key trends in customer relationships that 70% of those printers expected to rise: point of need, personalisation, just in time production and faster turnarounds.
The new portfolio of inkjet solutions mean sign and display customers will be able to take advantage of the unique characteristics of UV-curable and latex printing technologies to save on outsourcing and build their businesses in line with changing industry trends.
Ricoh’s presence at Sign & Digital UK 2019 is part of the global Ignite strategy to expand into display printing with inkjet applications and follows on from their successful participation at FESPA, Europe’s largest international wide format professional printing tradeshow, in May 2018.
Simon Issacs, National Sales Director, Ricoh commented: “As with our hugely successful approach to the commercial print market, we’re looking to help wide format sign and display printers to increase their margins, keep ahead of the competition, and improve customer satisfaction,”
“Our customers tell us they value our partnership approach because we are helping them through their analogue to digital transition. They know we are there to support them all the way, beyond the technology in how they can use it to create new products and services. We’re looking forward to translating that to the Sign & Digital audience, for whom we’re sure we can make a positive difference. There are lots of opportunities out there for sign and display printers, and we believe we can help them make the most of them.”
