A new print collection in collaboration with Kornit Digital

A new print collection in collaboration with Kornit Digital.

Cozmo, the online design-led, furniture brand, announces its latest print collection in collaboration with acclaimed designers Raw-Edges and digital textile printing technology leader Kornit Digital. Titled “Home Sweet Home”, the collection will launch at the Cozmo showroom in Coal Drops Yard on 13 March 2024.

In partnership with Cozmo and Kornit Digital, Raw-Edges has harnessed the power of digital textile printing technology to bring their creative vision to life and produce an optimistic assortment of soft home decor items crafted from digitally printed textiles. Drawing inspiration from the charm and serenity of idyllic countryside landscapes, Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay of Raw-Edges have infused the collection with humour and playfulness.

For this collection, Raw-Edges references timeless imagery of embroidered cushions featuring quaint, red-roofed houses and picturesque mountains, putting their own spin on tradition by harnessing Kornit's digital printing technology. Layer upon layer of vibrant patterns and colourful shapes have been artfully merged to evoke a feeling of material richness and warmth. The "Field" patterns, characterised by a herringbone arrangement of dainty, colourful leaves, adorn expansive areas including Cozmo’s interchangeable sofa jackets (covers), floor cushions, and curtains, while meticulously detailed cushions featuring images of houses and mountains add a touch of whimsy. The printed sofa jackets enable customers to easily switch covers, enabling bolder interior choices and the ability to achieve a different vibrant look.

As a global leader in sustainable, on-demand digital textile production, Kornit Digital provided the innovative technology that made this collaboration possible. With the Kornit Presto MAX direct-to-fabric solution, designers can leverage a single-step solution with the ability to experiment without limitations - making creative and experimental collaborations accessible to a wide audience. The solution delivers superior quality and the broadest colour gamut, including neon colours and the ability to use white ink on coloured fabrics with the highest definition. Presto MAX ensures designers can produce fabrics with the softest hand-feel and increased durability for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Additionally, Kornit's on-demand technology ensures there is no wasted stock or storage, as there are no minimum quantities needed. With one of the most sustainable textile printing solutions in the world, Kornit’s single-step solution and pigment-based inks, requiring no pre- or post-treatment, also ensure a reduction in water and energy consumption, aligning perfectly with Cozmo's commitment to sustainability.

Jacob Peres, Co-Founder of Cozmo, said: “We're thrilled to unveil our collaboration with Raw-Edges and Kornit Digital, showcasing a collection that embodies Cozmo's commitment to blending innovative design with sustainable practices. This partnership represents a fusion of creativity and technology, offering customers the opportunity to bring vibrant, digitally printed textiles into their homes while minimising environmental impact.”

Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer, Co-Founders of Raw Edges, said: “We have a longstanding fascination with the portrayal of outdoor landscapes within domestic interiors, stemming from our early encounters with Swiss mountain wallpaper in our London flat back in the early 2000s. This fascination has since evolved into vibrant herringbone flooring for Stella Mancetly and culminated in the Endgrain collection featured in the Sculpture Gallery at Chatsworth House. Our new collection ‘Home Sweet Home’ for Cozmo is our new interpretation and we are delighted to be working with them and Kornit Digital to bring these colorful patterns to life.”

Scott Walton, Head Of Global Business Development Brands of Kornit Digital, said: “We’re extremely pleased to be collaborating with Cozmo and Raw Edges to highlight the exciting opportunities unlocked with digital textile production. ‘Home Sweet Home’ is a brilliant collection that pushes the limits of creativity in home décor, while staying true to our sustainability commitment. We’re pleased Kornit direct-to-fabric technology is once again empowering small brands and new creators to embrace their ultimate creative expressions with sustainable, on-demand, printing.”

The new collection “Home Sweet Home” will be unveiled in London at the Cozmo showroom at Coal Office, Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross and will be on view from 13th March - 17th March 2024. Opening hours will be from 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 4pm Sunday.
