swissQprint has launched a new large format printer at FESPA Digital 2014. The company says the new Nyala 2 is now the largest, most productive and efficient machine in the Swiss manufacturer’s product range.
What is most noticeable about the new swissQprint flatbed printer is the visual similarity to its predecessor, the Nyala. The total machine size is. However, the printing table of the Nyala 2 is 25% larger than its sister model at 3.2 x 2 metres. The device can be transported in one piece, which keeps the start-up time short, and above all ensures the functional stability of the already robustly built machine.
Nyala 2 works with the latest print head technology. This means that at a maximum speed of 206 m2/h, the printer yields production quality results. Printing rates of this magnitude have so far only provided relatively coarse resolutions. In other words: Nyala 2 knows no draft mode. In its entirety, the system is the first of a new swissQprint printer generation.
That a highly productive quality product is coming onto the market with the Nyala 2 has been recognised by half a dozen customers already in the run-up to the trade show. They have already placed their orders and will put their new workhorse into operation in the second half of the year. The investment will be higher than that for the largest swissQprint machine so far. But it is put into perspective when considering the overall calculation, as Nyala 2 produces the lowest costs per square metre when used optimally.
The newly launched machine model is already available for demonstrations at the swissQprint plant in Switzerland.
