A raft of new technologies extend Epson’s imaging capabilities to address the graphic arts and proofing markets. 6th November 2008 – Following the preview of the Epson 24″ Stylus Pro 7900 and 44″ Stylus Pro 9900 at Drupa earlier this year, Epson today announces the UK commercial launch of these innovative printers.
Epson, a leading manufacturer of printers, LCD projectors and other imaging products, is extending the box collection element of its Collect&Recycle initiative to include empty ink cartridges from its Large Format Printers (LFPs). The initiative starts in the second half of September and will cover all models in the range.
During a press conference in Brussels, Belgium, Akihiko Sakai, Executive Officer, Corporate Strategy Office, Seiko Epson Corporation, unveiled the company’s Environmental Vision for the next generation. Speaking on the eve of the European Green Week, Sakai outlined an ambitious multi-part program to address some of the most pressing environmental concerns facing the global community looking towards 2050 and how Epson intends to tackle them over the next 10 years.
Epson is launching the Stylus Pro GS6000, a 64” large format printer with an 8-colour ink set, offering the widest colour gamut to date in a printer designed for both indoor and outdoor applications. The new ink set allows production of high-impact, high-quality, durable prints enabling printers, copy-shops and sign shops to extend their business into higher quality demanding applications such as airport and exhibition graphics, as well as fine-art reproduction.
