Bordeaux to showcase enhanced latex ink at Viscom Italy 2012

Bordeaux Digital Printink will showcase its enhanced Latex inkjet inks at Viscom Italy 2012 (Hall 1, stands L29 and M22). Bordeaux’s six colour EDLX™ Latex ink is comprised of Bordeaux’s proprietary water based resin formulation and specifically developed for solvent inkjet printers equipped with Epson™ DX printheads.

Since successfully launching its Latex ink concept at Drupa 2012, Bordeaux has continued the development of this revolutionary water based ink, ensuring superior print results for a variety of inkjet printing applications.  The new formulation provides faster print throughput, lower ink-drying temperatures, extremely high quality and reliability performance on a very wide range of substrates, as well as excellent abrasion and scratch resistance and a very broad colour gamut.

Bordeaux Latex ink is designed especially to meet the requirements of printer manufacturers using Epson and other industrial inkjet print technologies. Following the presentation of its Latex solution at Drupa and meetings with several OEMs, Bordeaux is developing the ultimate solution for Latex ink.

“We are continuously leveraging our knowledge and expertise to develop novel products including tailor made and proprietary solutions for a range of industrial printheads, inkjet print machine builders and integrators,” said Dror Mualem, vice president of marketing and sales at Bordeaux Digital Printink. “Our Latex ink closes the gap between the many advantages of eco-solvent based ink for high quality printing and the environmental benefits of water-based ink, free of volatile organic compounds.”

Viscom Italy 2012 takes place in Milan, Italy from October 4-7, 2012. Visitors to the Bordeaux/Trend booth (Hall 1, stand L29) and the Speedjet stand (Hall 1, stand M22) will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of Bordeaux’s EDLX Latex ink printed on a variety of converted Epson based inkjet machines.

Lintec showing glazing enhancement films at 100% Design

Lintec Graphic Films is offering a wide range of of premium and bespoke films on its stand (O131) at 100% Design (19 – 22 September, Earls Court, London). Designers, architects and branding specialists can see first-hand the glazing enhancement opportunities that Lintec Graphic Films has to offer.

The latest additions to Lintec Graphic Films’ range of innovative window films, Vitroflip® and Vitroshift®, are set to attract the attention of visitors as they enable the creation of ‘moving’ images, text or colours. As print density and opacity can also be customised, they offer endless possibilities for specifiers when needing to create eye-catching images.

Dot-on-dot®, Lintec Graphic Films’ vignette film, allows for a contemporary edge with the ability to print a pattern in two different colours. This film is already proving popular for use on office partitions in particular, as it allows the opportunity to create different ambiences on the different sides of the glass. For example, the outfacing image can be printed in a neutral, calm colour to fit in with the rest of the office decor, while the reverse image can be printed in a bright, lively colour.

Vitrocolour®, an ultra-clear polyester film, transforms glass into vibrant advertising, design and corporate identity opportunities. As the non-PVC film offers excellent see-thought vision and allows for images of photographic quality to be printed in vibrant colours, it is proving very popular with designers. Most importantly, the film’s hard coating provides excellent scratch resistance and durability, and removes in one piece, which allows for quick changeovers when rebranding is required.

100% Design visitors can also view the versatile Lumisty® window film, which has a unique ability to control what can and cannot be seen by changing from translucent to transparent depending on the viewing angle. It has already captured the imagination of leading interior designers, architects and retail branding specialists. Lumisty® has already successfully been used in a number of architectural projects to create privacy, while retail and other display applications are seeing the benefits of it attention grabbing effects.

Contra Vision® ORS, an innovative one-way window film, is also available to view on the stand. It allows for two customised images, both right reading, to be viewed from either side while continuing to enable see-through vision.

“100% Design is the ideal platform for us to showcase our range of premium window films to architects, designers and branding specialists,” says Andy Voss, Managing Director of Lintec Graphic Films. “Our wide range of innovative window films offers new and novel solutions and ideas to anyone looking to enhance, adapt or change glazed surfaces, and we look forward to demonstrate this to visitors on our stand.”

It's a partial wrap from William Smith customers

Vehicle wrapping continues to be a popular choice for customising both commercial and private vehicles and is now widely used by those who want to make an impact, whether through advertising their business or creating a ‘statement’ car. “Partial wraps can be equally effective and focus attention exactly where required,” says William Smith’s marketing manager, Chris Bradley. “They are ideal for making an image stand out, combining images with text, or for highlighting a feature or design detail with a special colour or effect material to create an individual look for a private car.”

A wide range of vehicle wrapping materials is available from William Smith, including 3M, Arlon and William Smith’s own ISee2 and Total Wrap ranges.

Mike Wright of Fitt Signs comments: “3M IJ180 is one of the materials we use for both full and partial vehicle wraps (we also use 3M IJ380) as it’s very easy to use.”
