Xerox teams with distributor EFS to introduce fully-tested media for HP latex printers

Xerox has teamed up with its distributor Everything for Signs to find out what people who have invested in the HP range of latex printers need in terms of media. They have designed and tested a range of media specifically for the HP25500 printers.

Sandy Gray, M.D. of Everything for Signs (EFS) comments, “These are amazing new printers, but the technology is so advanced that people really do need a range of media specifically for this type of printer. The speed and temperature involved means that a lot of standard media is not suitable. Fortunately when we spoke to Xerox about this they were already aware of the problems and working on a solution. They have now designed and tested a wide range of products on the HP25500 including paper, gloss and matt vinyl, canvas, banner material, banner mesh and a polyester rollup/popup material which will stand up to the heat generated by the HP Latex.”

All of these products are now available from stock. Profiles for all of these materials are available to download from the EFS website:

Has Neschen just launched the best anti-graffiti film yet?

Neschen has launched what it claims is its best anti-graffiti film yet.  Called Solvoclear Easy Protect, it is a low-priced, general purpose anti-graffiti film which is able to retain its glossy appearance even after having been surface cleaned several times.

Solvoclear Easy Protect is ideally suited for indoor and outdoor use with traditional photo prints, inkjet and digital print media including paper, polyester and vinyl.

It is manufactured from OPP (oriented polypropylene), an environmentally-friendly material composed of only carbon and hydrogen, with a high gloss finish.  It has a siliconised white backing paper and a clear solvent acrylic adhesive on one side and delivers high UV protection.

Sarah Janes, managing director of Neschen UK, says "This new protective film is easy to handle and extremely well priced but what sets it head and shoulders above anything else manufactured so far is that it is highly resistant to a large number of detergents and solvents and - importantly - stays glossy after cleaning after cleaning after cleaning.  It does not become matt as other films do."

Correctly applied, Neschen's Solvoclear Easy Protect has an expected life span of several years.
